Grandmothers & clothes
Mmmmmkay... what is it w/grandparents picking out hideous clothes?
  I just went through 2 bags of new clothes that my grandmother bought me & every last thing is hideous.  Like...where do these clothes even come from? Every now & then, she gets crazy & picks out 1 moderately decent thing... but 99.5% of the time... GEEZ! I'm never gonna wear anything that was in these bags. Thank God for "Cash For Clothes" eh? You guys best look out... X-mas is coming & that's when they really get crazy...  |

yeah...it kinda sucks...
my grandma just doesn't buy me anything...she spends all her money on drugs and booze...

lol, well I wish mine would use her money on that too! It would be better spent!
I mean... can't they see how we dress every day & compare that image to the things they are buying? Does this power leave you in old age? |

it's just an age thing. look at the clothes and you will see that they were actually quite stilish back in the ages she was a youg gurl, when everything had to be covered and anything provocative will label you as a <

I have a pretty good system worked out with my grandma..... she comes out to visit for x-mas she takes me to the mall and says "ok brian you have 200 bucks, get whatever you want"
then i get 100 in my christmas card  |

I used to have this problem too. Until I decided to tell them I'll give a list of things i want to my mother and they should talk to her. It's been working out well until recently when one of my grandmothers doesn't want to follow the rules.
When i first read the title i was thinking it was going to be something on how they (grandmothers) always smell like moth balls. Well at least mine do... and there skin.. damn i never wanna get that old.. |

That happened when I was younger, but its not really a problem anymore. I get pretty good stuff from my Grandmother.

wow, that really stinks for you guys. my grandmother is actually very good with modern clothes. she actually works in a very trendy expensive specialty clothes shop and we get great clothes! my dad on teh other hand...........omg
 He needs major help! thank god he usually just gets me new horse stuff. (i have 2 horses)

my one grandma SUCKED at this sorta thing. I think she thought my sis and I were twins, so she'd always buy us the same dress and sorta stuff when we were kids. Now she just pretends like she isn't related to us...and you know thats just fine with me cuz she's a b*tch...and I'm not just sayin that, she really is.
Then there is my mom's mom. She rocks. I don't know what I'd do without this lady. She's never picked out sh!tty clothes for me, now that I'm 22 she buys me "practical" stuff and like old Mr. Peanut stuff (I collect Mr. Peanut stuff). Then my stepdad's mom, she's cool too. She'll normally just give us a card with some cash in it. It's not a lot of cash, but it's cash either way. She doesn't have much money, bein old and sick and what not.
