Well guys, it's happened.

I've decided to get my ass into college after a four year hiatus from school. I start August 19th. The problem is my major- Criminal Justice and Criminology. That's right- I'm gonna be a cop.

So I've got another 4 years to get my street racing out of my system. After that, who knows? Maybe I'll just convert my car into a trailer queen or something- I don't really know yet.

So I'm going to do what I've always wanted to do- at the expense of my life as I know it. Wish me luck!!!

Hey 2ndGen.. I go to a Criminal Justice school and I can tell you from my experience with friends there. Just cuz you are becoming a cop doesnt mean your habits are going to change. The kids still in school are worse than ever. And those who have graduated arent abiding by the law.. so don't worry about gettin it out of your system. At least once you are finished and a fellow officer is ready to cuff ya.. you can smooth it over. Good luck though!!

I thought about that, too. The worse my record is when I get out, the harder it's gonna be to get hired into a department. A speed contest is nothing more than a traffic offense, but I've heard of people being denied jobs in the department just for speeding tickets...

4jacks- right now the plan is to be a beat cop for a while, then go into either narcotics or SWAT either on the local or national agency level (DEA, FBI). After that, I want to go into forensics.
