Stupid wiring question

Ok,my stupid question is:
i have an interior car neon that works with a car lighter adapter.
i cut off the adapter and installed a swith on it and when i connected it to my car battery,it worked fine. Now,i'd like to know if i can run a regular 4 gauge amp wire from the battery to a stinger distribution block(that i already have but is not hooked up to anything)and from the distribution block connect my neon wire.the Distribution block is one 4 gauge entry and four 8 gauge out.and also.if i can do that, later on if i buy a small amp...will y be able to connect my amp from that same d-block?

thanks in advance

Phil

I'd wire the neon to your fuse box. You could wire it in with just about anything, I.E.:

1. A constant- so when the car is on, the neon is on.
2. A constant, with an on/off switch, so you can have it on whenever your heart desires.
3. Your headlights or parking lights, so it's only on at night.
4. Just about anything.

That's what I would do.
