Exactly. "I'll put my $150K Ford GT up against your $30K STi". Huh? Although the GT did destroy a Modena in a road race...I forget where. Probably Laguna or Seabring.

Those Cobras run balls out with a power adder swap. I got to see some work done to a Procharger blown '04 that my friend did prep work on. It was the Mystic Blue one they had at SEMA. They threw on a D-1 and all of a sudden the thing made around 700hp. I've seen some turbo'ed '03-'04 Cobras making close to 1000hp.
The sad thing is that cars like that are kind of ruining it for everyone else. I remember when having a 300-400hp Mustang made you the fucking king of cruise night. Now you open any Mustang mag and go "what? ONLY 500hp? Pshhh." I guess on one hand it says good things about where Ford is headed. On the other it sucks to be the guy who can't afford that shit.

That's probably a body in white car. To my knowledge the best anyone's done on the new 3 valve motor is a low 9 second pass. Then again, every month they go lower and lower.
