Ok...seriously...what the fuck?

So today my toilet started leaking. Not that kind of constant running noisy leaking...it's dripping water onto my floor. A lot of water. I know it's coming from the tank, but I don't know exactly where. Shutting it off from the wall is a no-go since it doesn't seem to have a shut off valve (there's a knob of sorts, but turning it has yielded no results). So as of now it's leaking, there's water all over my bathroom floor, several towels have been soaked, and it's still coming. Any ideas on how to stop this menace? I'm calling my landlord, but I'd rather my bathroom not flood before then. If I didn't know better I'd swear it was getting worse. The fucking tank doesn't even seem to be firmly attached to the bowl anymore (I put my hand on it to steady myself when I checked out the leak and the tank was all wobbly). Fucking indoor plumbing.
