Yes it is out already. They have a cantonese version and a Thai version with chinese/english subtitles. To be honest, the movie was only ok, but that's me.

Indeed. I was yelling at anyone who would listen a few months ago about how badass this movie is. Tony Jaa will take over the world one of these days. The movie's been out for awhile...but you'd have to search Ebay for a copy that has english subtitles (most don't or are Region 2 or Region 3 copies). I got one that did...even then the subs aren't great. But one doesn't watch a movie like Ong-Bak for dialogue. It's all about ridiculous amounts of asskickery. If you have Quicktime, you can watch it at Apple's trailer site:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/ong_bak.html/ http://www.apple.com/trailers/indepe..._bak-tlr.html/ I don't know why there's 2 different ones...but both are good.

The same director has another movie out called "Born To Fight" that also looks really good. Doesn't have the same guy (Tony Jaa) and as of right now no one is selling a subbed version of it...which sucks because I don't speak Thai. Yet.

I watched that a while back. You could've basically thrown out everything but the last 30 mins. or so. Then it got pretty fucked up. I'll tell you what, though...the same guy who directed "Audition" (Takashi Miike) did a movie called "Visitor Q" that seriously raped my brain. Easily the most disturbing and troubling movie I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot.

I watched it with English subtitles..that weren't even correct. I downloaded the shitty version [apparently] who had typos every other minute.
Oh well, I love my FOBs.

By the way...if anyone's going to see this (Ong-Bak), know that most of the fights are full contact, there are no wires, mats, stunt doubles, or computer graphics. Apparently Thai people are insane and will stop at nothing to produce badass stunts.
