My next car

Hi everyone. I want to first off say thanks for the kind words you have all said in the other post about my car getting stolen. Anyway I have been out since looking for another car and I knew exactly what I was looking for and I think I have found it. I found a 1998 Accord coupe V6, red exterior, tan interior with leather for 8,500. I test drove it yesterday and then again today. I am almost 85 percent sure I am going to end up getting it. The lady is VERY nice and I think I may be able to get her to drop the price to 8,000, maybe a little bit under that. The car is still under Honda warranty and has 78,000 miles. It runs great and look very nice too. I dont think I will be moding it at all. I will add some PIAA extreme white bulbs (headlights) and I am going to buy the same read head I had in my integra. The Pioneer DEH-P9300. Its a really great radio and I loved it. I still have the faceplate from the Teg. And an Amp. I love my music while driving. Other than that I have learned...exterior mods on a Honda just screams "Steal me" let alone any other car.

Thank and you right about that but I wont be driving the car here. I am looking to purchase it by the end of this week and that day I am putting it on a truck and having it sent to SC. I am sure car theft is not as bad as here in Los Angeles. I am going out shopping this week and I am going to go nuts on anti theft devices. I heard some good stuff about this car alarm that has a visual pager that attaches to your key chain...lets you know the status, etc. And if your car is being tampered with it alerts you and shows what part of the car. I think Alpine makes it...I will look into that as well as a few others...

mod it but put a fuel cutoff switch on it and tie up a 150lb rotweiler to the bumper

Well today I took the car out one last time to make sure that this was the car I wanted and I came to the conclution that it is. I got the seller to sell me the car for 7,750. I gave her a deposit of 1,000 cash and will be going into the bank tomorrow to get a certified check. I am really excited but I still really miss my old car. It still really sucks that I am pretty much spending everything that I made this summer working for Princess Cruises up in Alaska but I think it will be worth it.

I am happy camper today! I was going to wait until around noon before going to the bank and getting my certified check but I just couldnt wait. I was up at 8 and before I knew it I was outside my bank at 8:55 waiting to open. I got my check and headed out to Burbank to get my car. As I handed over the check she handed over the 2 sets of keys/remote and said take care of her. It even looked as if she wanted to cry, very nice lady though. Anyway, I drove for about an hour before coming home. I put a full tank of premium gas in her, and cruised down the Pacific Coast Highway toward Pacific Palisades and then back down Sunset before I got home. I must say I really like this car! My sister gave me a little dash frame (attaches to the A/C grill) thinking I would put a picture of my gf...instead I put a photoshoped picture of my teg that says RIP. Haha. Its going to be a while before I can get my radio in and some speakers but I can live. The stock system isnt all that bad. Pics will come in about 2 weeks since I am shipping the car off Friday and wont be able to get a camera until then.
