PC Video Editing Software
Does anyone have any experience with any video editing software out there??
Im looking for a program that can put together a nice ~20m clip with tons of transitions and effects and being able to add MULTIPLE audio tracks......not just 1 or 2 tracks...... ive been looking into Adobe Premiere 6.5 but im not sure if that has the features im looking for. I also have heard its rather unstable at times.......is that due to software or hardware? *shrug* The program itself is like $600 through Adobe (so ive read) but ive found it bundled with a firewire card and extras for roughly $250..... anyway.......any ideas? suggestions? |

I've been playing with Premier 5 for a little bit and it has great features. Its fairly easy to use also. 6.5 should be around $250-$300 from what I've heard. I've heard that 6.5 is much more stable than 5 and adds better SMP support for the Xeon or duallie people. I don't have 5 installed after a format, but I believe you can add multiple tracks. Don't take my word for it though.
Some other options are Vegas Video, Pinnacle software, and others. I'm not really up on this stuff, but there are some great forums around the web.

I have used a few and haven't found one that I am really happy with. I do like Avid DV Express and Ulead VideoStudio however. Both can be found on Kazza :o
