dumb question

Civic HX vs. Lancer?
sorry, this isn't a kill story, but i was wondering who would have a better chance of winning: a 5 spd civic hx w/ intake and exhaust or a stock auto lancer? opinions? nay saying? i haven't had the chance to find out yet. my friend on the east coast wants to race me when i go back home
just curious...

hhhmmm....drivers race...if not the civic by a hair...

the civic has a couple of mods that will help (not much but still helps), 5 spd offer better launch, wee bit lighter also

lancer has more torque, peak power output (new car), problem-free shifting..

hope my jibberish helps..

The auto lancer is a 17-17.5 sec car at best. Id say the civic on this one, but just race and find out!

base curb weight for the hx is 2506 and it puts out 115 hp (flywheel) I figured with a perfect run you will run a 17.14 and the lancer base curb is 2690 with a whopping 120hp (flywheel) so he will be running a 17.31 quarter BUT do take into consideration that he's auto and wont spin so if you get a perfect launch and everything with your aftermarket mods hopeing he's bone stock you should pull just a tad, but if you mess just one thing up he's auto so he's a perfect shifter.. good luck just race that's how you're going to know

I would imagine you'll beat him. I mean, that is of couse, unless you suck complete arse at shifting.
