I'm gonna sell my Civic so that I can get the 91 Si HB. Take it in and get it serviced as a selling perk. My mechanic just called and said he couldn't smog the car because it has a CAI on it...

Anyone run into this problem before?

Anyone have any suggestions?

wtf ? does it have a carb sticker on it ? then tell him to smog check it or if not you won't pay him

i kept my stock when i put the cai on it. cuz one of my friends took his truck in and thay woudent inspect it because it dident have the sticker... what you should do is, if you have a friend like with a AEM.. of injin. ones that have carb stickers.. just barrow it off thers and put it on yours till u get it inspected..

thats bs...he has to check you reguardless...you might fail inspection, but he HAS to do it...its his job

no, it fails the visual test.

put your stock back on, and smog it.

but you know, when you change titles, you'll have to smog it again right? Its the sellers responsibility to smog it AFTER the registration is passed to another person.
