Help Wanted

This ad comes from my school's newspaper. I just figured I would share the article with all of you before I threw it out. I don't have a scanner so I'm just gonna type it all out. This is it, word for word:

The Pharmacia Clinical Research Unit, Kalamazoo, needs volunteers. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety, tolerance and absorption of a research drug for treatment of pain.

Requirements: (This is what got me wondering)
1. Healthy males and females age 18 to 85.
2. Within 15% of ideal body weight.
3. No chronic illness or medication.
4. Females must be surgically sterile, post-menopausal or using medically acceptable birth control including the Pill.

The study involves 1 (one), 5 (five) day and night stay, in the unit, and 10 outpatient visits to be scheduled April 27th to June 2nd, May 4th to June 9th, or May 11th to June 16thth. For further information regarding this research please call the Recruiting Office, and it goes on to give the number of the place.

Its not something I plan on doing. I just need a summer job so i was scanning the help wanteds and saw that and was like, "Whoa!" I just think its kind of scary that some people would seriously consider this.
