could it have been caused by a short in the oxygen sensor wiring?

Im sure theres an auto store out there (like autozone) that will test parts for free. Just roll up there, pop it off and take it inside

ok i took it into my shop @ work today...just to poke around and shyt
discovered that battery seems to be fine..it will hold at around 12V when the car is off and when it runs. discovered that i can only drive so far on a half-charged battery lol discovered that it MUST be an alternator problem...either with the alternator itself or the wiring! |

Quote:
when the car is on, your battery should read around 14v, and 12v when its off. check all your connections maybe something is loose

i had a similar problem with a corroded terminal and wire. sometimes the car would start, other times it wouldn't. you might check that.
