battery not charging and more bad shyt

FUCK...i just drove my car like 5 minutes out of town and the cocksucker died on me....i tried to start it..NOTHING at all..not even a bleep....freak sakes..so my buddy jumped me and i let it run for awhile and drove back to my house as fast as i could..and now..its dead again

so no speedo, no odometer and the alternator doesn't hold a charge anymore..WTF did i do wrong?

sounds like an altenator problen on the non charging battery

Grip72 07-23-2005 07:50 PM

could it have been caused by a short in the oxygen sensor wiring?

AkimboStylee 07-24-2005 01:38 PM

i doubt it

Im sure theres an auto store out there (like autozone) that will test parts for free. Just roll up there, pop it off and take it inside

deffinitally sounds like an alternator problem. when mine was messing up alot of my acc. power didnt work.

ok i took it into my shop @ work today...just to poke around and shyt

discovered that battery seems to be fine..it will hold at around 12V when the car is off and when it runs.
discovered that i can only drive so far on a half-charged battery lol
discovered that it MUST be an alternator problem...either with the alternator itself or the wiring!

when the car is on, your battery should read around 14v, and 12v when its off. check all your connections maybe something is loose

i had a similar problem with a corroded terminal and wire. sometimes the car would start, other times it wouldn't. you might check that.
