clutch problem
my clutch has been acting a little funky lately. almost like there's not enough back pressure on it. it feels as if the clutch is worn out, but i just got it replaced less than a year ago. it's an ACT clutch set up (i don't remember which type, but i can find out if it makes a difference). i wanted to know if any of you guys have had this problem before, and if you know how to fix it. i though it might be that with the higher performace, stiffer clutch, maybe the slavedriver on the fluid line needs to be upgraded or changed in some way... i already tried adding more fluid, and that didn't do anything...

It's most likely your pressure plate. It's probably about gone. The pressure plate is what makes your clutch go back. You might also want to replace your throw out bearing. Goodluck.

and if it turns out to be that, call up ACT and ask why has your clutch gone bad less than a year after you put it in, maybe they'll replace it if you can provide proof.

adjust the nut at the end of the cable, thats what i had to do to mine, act clutches are nice, but they really suck on most civics for some reason, oh and act offers an eighteen month replacement, no questions asked

His car is a 97... it has a hydrolic clutch... IE no adjuster nut.. I'm assuming your car had a cable clutch. To the poster: Did you get a clutch kit or just a clutch... if you got a clutch kit then the pressure plate and throwout bearing should've been included... if not it's most likely the pressure plate as mentioned above.
