I know my 96 accord dx weighs less than 3000.

I just dont think a auto civic vs a auto accord will win depending on year. If its from 91-97 the accord will win if its a 98 and above and 4 clyinder the civic should win. The 5th gens are notas heavy as most people think.

This post wasn't about whether or not an Accord will beat a Civic. Not real sure why your going at that angle.

Max Torque: 5500 rpm

1996 Accord DX Sedan
Horsepower: 130 hp
Max Horsepower: 5300 rpm
Torque: 139 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 4200 rpm
Weight: 2855 lbs.

Based on the specs, its not hard to see how a Civic could beat an Accord.

Torque: 145 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 4700 rpm
Weight: 2888 lbs.

Its 33lbs heavier than the 96 Accord, but makes more power. I don't see how you can say its slower.
