My buddy just told me that a VW TDI running soy bean diesel just beat out WRX's in some rally.....aha here we are

"Q. What do a firefighter from Ohio, an engineer from Georgia and a little diesel engine from Germany all have in common?

A. They are all 2002 Champions in the SCCA Pro Rally .

In October of 2001, Jon Hamilton a firefighter from Marysville, Ohio had the crazy notion to run a VW Golf TDI in the SCCA Pro Rally production class. He wanted to do something a little different and wanted to do it in a VW."
