Now I'm really confused...the wheel is marked 17x7 JJ.

When I take my rubber ruler out, I keep getting more than 7".

The tire is still on the rim, so I am going through the spokes & measuring an I.D.; 'squaring' the measurement by holding wood blocks against the sides of the rim.

Is the 'JJ' a secret code...
