The black clips are the same clips you'll find when you open your hood (on a coupe, there are 5 on top, 4 on the bottom)

To remove them you simply insert a flat head screw driver and slowly pull it back. What this does is remove the inside part of the clip from its outer casing, this should allow you to pull the entire clip out. You may find that a couple get stuck (especially on the bottom) Get the other ones out and come back to them later. Be patient, try pulling at a slightly different angle to get the clip out...try not to break it as that will only complicate things.

I would suggest, to understand the mechanism of the clips better, take off one or two from under the hood, you'll see what I mean.
