Sorry to hear about that man. It's good to know that the guy in the relationship was the one trying to make things work even though she was the one that messed up and was causing "problems". It's hard to be in a relationship where you don't have trust for the other person. Trust is a HUGE part of a relationship and if you can't trust the other person, then don't "waste your time" (i use that phrase for lack of better words). I know what it feels like to be the one in the relationship doing all the tryin. It really sucks when the other person who isn't tryin as hard as you are to make things work breaks up with you and tells you it's because he/she doesn't feel like trying anymore that they just don't wanna...but in the same breath tells you that he/she still loves you. If that doesn't confuse a person I don't know what will!!! Hang in there...things will get better and I come from the same school of philosophy as whiteclipse99...if it's meant to be...it will. Just "be a man" and start chillin with your friends again. Start bein you again doin the single thing and trust me things will definitely work out for you...maybe not with your ex...but things will work out!
