spl = sound pressure level

the amount of sound a system is capable of producing.
the higher spl the louder the system.
its pressure cause sound is vibrations of air. so the higher the air pressure the more the sound as well... which is why spl peeps seal their cars and push on the doors to keep them as closed as possible.
