shorts shifter's

Hi,
I've been considering getting a short (throw) shifter for a while now and figured that since i will be putting a new exhaust on soon i should do the shifter as well, because the exhaust won't be getting in the way

i found some good deals on OBX shifters and was wondering if anyone knows if OBX is a decent company

i really don't have the $100 plus for a DC shifter as i just purchased a Thermal R&D cat back exhaust

also i plan on getting some new bushings
if anyone knows of some other DIY sites or articles that talk about bushings i would love it
