A chip will give you power if you've already got a good amount of power mods under the hood. If you got I/H/E, you'll maybe get 5-8 hp from the chip, if your lucky.......if you really want to do something with fuel controll, just go with a fuel computer.
The chip becomes important when your boosting or have a pretty decently built NA engine.
With boost (i.e. turbo) 20-25 hp will be more realistic.
Withh a naturally aspirated engine, hp comes in smaller increments and you gotta eke out every little bit of hp from what you got.
With FI, power comes in bigger jumps, but sometimes more expensive.
