It's a drect swap out and hook right up..You remove the DX cluster ad hook up the EX/LX one...

I just got a Autometer 10,000 RPM tach w/ external shift light....I just didn't want to get a EX/LX cluster. You can find them for a decent price on www.thepartstrader.com or on www.ebay.com but they are a ltitle mroe expensive on there...Try a local junk yard for good prices normally if nothign else.
