I don't think there's much to understand. Most people who do that sort of thing are pussies who nobody takes seriously and are incapable of handling the hardships of life. Once, just once, I'd like to see someone go on a rampage without a gun. Any nancy boy can pick up a gun and hurt someone...it takes some real skill to hurt people with your bare hands.
It's a shame the guy offed himself...it'd be much more fitting for him to end up in prison getting a human booster shot from a guy named Molly.

Does anyone else feel that the media promotes incidents like this? The kind of people that commit these crime are outcasts, and do it for attention. The media makes them super heroes among their fellow outcasts and gives them World wide notoriety.

Gee, ya think? It's all they've been able to talk about on the news. I'm so incredibly sick of hearing the word "massacre". What happened in Nanking was a massacre...Hiroshima and Dresden were massacres...33 dead people in Virginia is just unfortunate.

How is it that they can't show boobies on public TV, but they can continue to show this crap day in and day out. I had never had a nightmare from seeing boobies. Those are dreams that I welcome.

Jeremy...it's because we're the exact opposite of Europeans in that regard. When I was in Germany I noticed that you can see nudity on regular network television (not like porn, but it's certainly there), but there's little to no violence. The opposite goes for America. You can see as much violence as you want, but next to nothing when it comes to nudity. Personally I think the Europeans got it right.
And why hasn't the media explored any links between what happened and the medication this guy was on? Prozac (and other SSRIs and tricyclics) have a pretty well documented history of making people lose it. Eric Harris and Dylan Kliebold (Columbine), Kip Kinkel (school shooter), Mark David Chapman (assassin), and others were all on anti-depressants before they snapped and killed or tried to kill people.
