burn in is not a big deal at all, unless you throw an image on the screen and leave it on there 24hours a day. even then, plasmas will shift the image slightly to reduce the possibility of burn in.

the problem with LCD's is that they cost more (last I looked) and that whole directional thing, projection also sucks because of the limited viewing angle.

I bet if you use the tv guide button on digital cable enough the columns and rows will burn in, really the best picture quality and resolution you will ever get is with a CRT, if I bought a TV that fuckin expensive it better last a damn long time
