There is no Honda motor that I know that can produce 160+ whp on stock form that does NOT use high octane.
I dont really know how to answer your questions Sparrow. I just never thought of it that way. You are basically asking for a reliability, low cost, and power but risk efficiency. I dont think that is achievable on any motor tho. You may have to look at some domestic options. Goodluck |

Thanks for the input guys. So let me ask you this, how about if I do get a b16 and run 87 octane gas in it, how will that effect the engine? I've heard of pinging, but how bad would it be in the B16 and will running the 87 reduce the longevity of the engine? Like I said I before I'd like an engine with more power, without getting killed at the pumps, and I want it to last for hopefully 100 000+ km. Any suggestions?
