I think ipods rock. They wouldnt be the #1 mp3 player if they were so shitty. Granted they do have good marketing.

As for yoru battery issue, you could try to replace it though I think you're going to get the same results. My shufle plays great, had it since it came out with no battery issues that you speak of.

I must get 12-14 hours of play out of it though. Try not blasting your ears and see what battery life you get out of it. IMO people listen to their music to louod. ASk someone beside you if they can hear what you're listening to, if they can you have it too loud.
