Nah man you got a functional iPod. The advertised battery life is only for play at the lowest volume, lowest contrast, no LED, no skipping/ff/reversing songs what so ever, shit like that. When I bought my mini a few years I had the thoughts..but that mini, along with my GF's nano and my dad's video has shitty battery life (compared to what was advertised).
