The Slim? From what I know, that and the ROKR are phasing out because the SLVR is now in full force. In addition, there will be a Motorola V3i soon, which is similar to the v3 now, only it will have MP3 rather than iTunes.

The v3 isn't a bad phone, I think everyone in my family including myself has used it; I just see no point in buying it right now. I mean, it's been out for almost a year and a half and what upgrade does it have? Video. Big woo. The streaming video is shorter than a small dog's shit. For the price and "high value" of the phone, it still has a VGA camera. The Cingular ones were recently placed on a Stop Sell about 3 weeks ago (for a week). Dust gets under the screen. It just makes sense for someone to get it these days only for the reason that it's a quad band. Said and done, I guess I don't blame you for getting it though sense you're with Rogers; I think they have a smaller phone selection so the v3 is still one of their better phones.

I think all phones get dust under them over time. I've had the same phone for 2 maybe 3 years now. cell phones are over rated in general. all these extra crap to busy our lives. a phone was for talking.

I've seen 3 year old phones without dust under the screen. However, I'm talking a whirlwind of dust under the screen before your first 30 day even arrives. Most Nokias get dust under the screen, but you can also remove the face plate on most of them. The Razr on the other end, requires tools.

cell phones are over-rated, but hey, that's how I make my money.
If the US is picking up streaming video on cell phones, man, who knows what'll be next.

Well it's on the way now, and it's also free now too. So I can't really complain right? I saw the comercial for that new slim phone or whatever it's called and to be honest, it looks kinda flimsy. It looks really breakable; it's cool that it's so thin but like the iPod Nano it looks like it would break if I put it in my pocket and sat down. In my opinion the most durable phones are from Nokia and Samsung. You wouldn't believe the hell my bf's phone went through. It was dropped at least 200 times and sanded down and painted at least 5 times (don't ask about the painting) and thrown (more like whipped) against the wall a few times as well. It looks like crap now (that's why he got a new phone) but surprisingly it still works fine.
