Well, most likley a weak mainshaft clutch housing bearing that failed catastrophily after the downshift from 3rd to 2nd to1st (I like that course) then a hard shift back into second. About 3000rpm later go boom.

I'm putting the finishing touches on the install of a new one, so the car should make it off the jackstands today.

It's a ZC SOHC with the Si trans (91 EF)
