Most times when you download a DVD from the internet it either comes in ISO or .zip.

If you get it in ISO you can use a handful of programs to burn them. If you get a .zip you need to unzip and burn the files in nero or some other program that allows you to burn a DVD that will play on your DVD player.

Secondly most DVD's you download will be 4.3GB designed to burn on DVD-5. On cable here at 600kb/s it takes about 1-2hours to download. Though I get them from newsgroups.
