"War Of The Worlds" is boring and shitty

Man I am sorry that I ever said anything about having watched it. My Dad wishes he never bought the DVD. I could not stand Dakota Fannings performance. All she would do is scream, and scream, and when you think she's done... NOPE! There's more left in there. The actor who played Cruises son in the movie was horrible. So much so that I can't think of anything to say about his performance other than "horrible." Whoever did the casting for this movie needs to not cast any movie ever again.

Why did Speilberg feel it was necessary to redesign the Aliens? Come on the original ones scared the crap out of me as a kid, and I think their design holds up today. Maybe a tweak here and there, but cool nonetheless.

I had a feeling this movie would blow because of the fact that it's UNDER 2 hours. Barely. I don't remember the last time Speilberg did a movie that was shorter than 2 hours. Maybe it was just me.

Here's some trivia that my Dad pointed out-

At the end of the shitfest, you get to see his ex-wifes parents. Her parents are the original hero and heroin from the original War of The Worlds.
