sad to say that you will still end up dropping some cash to get a decent set-up. I'm not very familiar with those engines, I do know a bit about D16Z or D15b or D16Y. As I said before, the 96-00 D16Y8 trannies are the best D-series trannies. Remember that you are cable right now and will have to switch to hydraulic. There is a lot of work ahead of you. Just be patient and you will eventually get there. Read and read and read tech stuff. Those EF's are light as hell.....
