4 of my friends have VWs a 2.0 slow, vr6, 1.8t and a r32, first of all my friend with the 1.8t and upgraded turbo smoked the r32, other friend blew is 2.0 tranny twice , with the stock diff and with a quaife, other friend before vr6 swap blew a hole right through the tranny housing, other friends 2.0 check engine light it a dash board light show, all of these vws also have so MANY other problems that cars should just NOT have I cant even list them.
