Actually the engineers aren't the problem...it's the executives. They try to tell people what they want instead of letting people make their own decisions. And the stigma of Amerikan manufacturers isn't as bad as you would think. Ford Explorers, Ford F-150s, and GM Yukons are huge tickets...even if they are retarded and absurd. Imports may dominate the small car market, but ultimately domestics rule the roost (even if it is with shitty products).
