Turbo caravans were made in 1989 and 1990. The FMIC was made by DCA (not DCS wich is a local ricer shop). It has 2.5" inlet/outlet. Flow tested over 1300cfm... way more than I'll ever need. Its roughly 3" thick, 24" high, and 38" wide witch is about a 3rd of the size that it was when i picked it out of the dumpster at the local semi dealer
 Belive it or not, the computer in the van is stock. Extra fuel is added by means of 2 extra injectors. They are cold start injectors off of an Audi. They are connected to a pressure activated switch, one turns on at 14 psi, one at 18psi. and theirs plenty room for more boost. The stock turbo is about maxed, its real similar in flow and size to a 1G talon turbo. The R/T is diffrent, that has a custom computer calibration with a 3bar map and 72pph injectors....

1991 Dodge Spirit R/T +40% Injectors, Stage 5 cal, 3bar map, 2.5" exhuast, and 24psi of pure fun!! (turbo now broken) Looks like its time for a pricey Hybrid ;-) 1989 Dodge Caravan Extra injector, 4.7V zeiner diode, sawzalled exhaust (open downpipe) and 20 psi of humilliating fun ;-) Best run at the strip, 14.7 @ 96mph with a 2.6' Sixty foot time!! DO THE MATH!!! |
