internet is very slow out here in the middle of the ocean, but search on the turbo forum about a small write up I did on Hondata and AEM EMS. JDMfantasy asked a question not too long ago. I'll let you decide for yourself.....

If it was up to me, I say get rid of that emanage. It's capability is not even half of what Hondata and AEM EMS can do.

Hondata is still considered a "piggy back" but the best piggy back out there.

AEM EMS is a true stand alone. My buddy has an AEM EMS and that thing does fucking rocks! The only draw back I see is that you will not be able to use at least 50% of what it can do, unless you know how to tune it yourself.... and trust me, this is not like tuning an APEXi S/VAFC. EMS are very detailed. Each time my buddy messes with it, the potential of what it can do seems to take us deeper in the "rabbit hole".... ha ha ha. In other words, it gets complicated.... very complicated. When his laptop crashed one time, he had to redo everything from scratch. I have nothing against EMS. It's potential is short to what Motec F1 stand alone systems can do. This is what I would have on a dedicated race car only.... but not for street nor occassional drag races.

I still think that Hondata is the best tho. I just dont see why have all the features of the AEM EMS if the the person dont even want to deal with the complexity. You can have a decent turbo set-up by simply having a well tuned A/F ratio in which Hondata is capable of already.... and yes, Hondata can be monitored and played with like the AEM EMS using a laptop. you just have to get all harware/software for it
