Same here. As a tomboy myself, I really don't like to wear skirts. I guess it's a throw back to my catholic grade/high school uniforms that I had to wear every day there. I couldn't wait to get home to change into my jeans because they were so much more comfortable. That and the fact that I rode to/from school in my parent's car with the vinyl seats that either scalded me in the summer and froze my coochie off in the winter. I'll wear skirts/dresses on occasion but only under protest.
