Summer jobs
O.k. guys, this is mostly for High School guys or gals. Summer is slowly, but surely approaching . Many of us are getting a summer job for some reason or another. (I'm getting one so I can save up and get a new car). The poll consists of three parts. First, what would be an ideal job? Second, what job are you actually getting. Finally, what's the first thing you plan on spending the money on? Just got bored so decided to post this.

Right now i work in a video game store with my best friend, it's fun as hell. I think i'm gonna need to find a better paying job though soon, need money...i'll probably end up sitting in a cubicle typing all day soon enough with what i've been looking at...pretty good raise for me though heehee.

agreed on the working w/ friends thing...really helps
I'll be doing the same work that Ive done for the past 4yrs: Construction Summer Custodial (clean schools for the next yr) The custodial job isnt that bad...during the school year it is, but in the summer its cake. All I do is wash desks, clean out lockers, and extract dirt and crap from carpets. Im in an a/c building, listen to my music all day long, and no one is there to watch over what I do (sometimes there is, but very rarely). The best part about both jobs is I dont ever have to ask "Can I help you with something?" I hate that... Both jobs pay well ($15/hr construction cash, $10/hr custodial) so I make good money. 40hrs/week custodial and usually $50-120/day construction depending on the job. |

Ideal job would be an audio installer, but that won't likely happen. My second ideal job would be to work for Paine Webber here as some sort of Broker's intern. I've worked at Wachovia Securities the past 2 years as a Broker's intern and it was awesome, and good pay (10/hour). I may just get a job waiting tables; it is undecided at this time as I need to have a talk w/ the folks about what city I will be living in this summer (Memphis vs. Tuscaloosa). I will most likely spend the majority of my money on women and captain morgan, but will try to save some for some nice 19" rims for the Z and Tien Flex Coilovers w/ EDFC.

i work at little caesars making 8.50 an hour, that is my morning job(asst. manager) and at night i work at an audio shop, (we have no name, but a very nice old warehouse, with 2 lifts so we can do other stuff as well) that pays $25 an hour, 5 hrs a night so that is not bad!
