ok I looked.
I'm pretty sure you can simply remove the grills. If you look well, you'll notice that the grill doesnt form into 1 piece with the deck.. Meaning its detached for the deck. In your trunk you'll notice some white clips/pins. I'm guessing those are whats holding the grills in place. If you could have someone push on them, you'll probably see the grills move. So you'd have your answer. If it wasnt so cold outside, i'd do all the testing for ya.. :o
