my mom, which took classes in all kinds of law read the post. She said if he decides to sue he would win. BECAUSE, according to your story he was on his way back to his car when you chased after him. Meaning he was no threat at the time when you did what you did. The gun wouldnt have been envolved at all if you let him go and just wrote down his tags!! She also said that its a big possiblity he wont goto a lawyer because he might be scared to letting the shit he did out in the open. Im sure he will though if "she" presses charges.
