the first hin of the year is in del mar if i remember correctly, that's just north of san diego. then they have 2 hin's in LA, one at the convention center in downtown and one in long beach, ones normally towards the beginning of summer, one towards the end. then there is irev but i think that is in the spring, that's been at the anaheim convention center, right across the street from disneyland. you've got the ones up north also that are really good. at the same time there are little ones taking place in little tokyo and chinatown. then you get the race meetups where the big boys trailer in their cars. of course all my info is a year old since i have since moved to great freakin florida, so you may want to check on it.
