92-95 OBD 1 H22's. I think the 96's were the first years the OBD 2's started.

An engine that old is bound to have lots of miles on it unless u happen to get an imported one from Japan from a reputable company. There are several different power ratings for H22's. They range from 220 HP to 190 HP. The Type S's and the SH's have 220 HP while the rest have 190-200 HP. Also American spec Type S's and SH's are all OBD 2. If u want an OBD 1 type S engine u have to go JDM spec. Thats what I am going with and of course what I would reccomend. Good luck. As far as the SH engines goe stay away from that engine.
