Well you have 2 options. There is a company called P-Spec racing that makes true short shifters for Accords. I have one and its pretty good (modeled after a C's SS).
Your cheaper and easier option is to get a short shift adapter. Since you want the stick to be closer to you, I recommend looking into a B&M unit (if they make it for your 6th gen Accord) because it has neutral position adjustment, letting you bring the stick back. Otherwise, any other SSA will just shorten the throw. It'll still help a little, but not too much.
