im not too know-how about brakes. but dont the rear brakes work less than the front ones? im suggesting the rotors might actually need replacing. it's one thing for the brake pads to be wearing down. but when they are inconsistent i think it would be more of rotor warping than anything. every time you stop or go really quick you leave damage on your rotors. after a while you will actually begin to feel the areas where your rotors are warped. the car will seem to bobble every time it is slowing down. if the pads are the problem, i would THINK that they would be consistently messing up. meaning all the time, 100% not as effective.
