If I were you I'd tape off the area I wanted clear... spray it with the red glass dye... then un-tape it and give the WHOLE lense either a clear coat or a VERY thing layer of black (smoke)...

That way the red has less of a chance of peeling and the whole thing will look more as a unit intead of looking taped/sprayed.

take pics... I want red/clears too but I can't stand how ANY of them look.
