Yes the b12a2 swap is fast. No it will not hang with a GT. youll need sexin' boost for that. Also, be prepared to wire your ass off. I did it the cheapo way, and Cashizslick had his professionally done. Its not hard swap to do, but little things like emissions, Bracket for throttle cable, and wires need to be considered. youll be fine as long as youre mechanically sound.
