do you drive on a lot of rough roads and under extreme weather conditions, etc? because its only rubber, and slightest thing can rip them. I had one shear off from who knows what.

I'm considering the "improved" drive axles from autozone. whenever I had a boot bust, I usually assume the joint is screwed too, and it usually is. so I just buy a new halfshaft for about 70-80 bucks. But this last time I saw they sell a brand new shaft with neoprene boots for like $300 bucks. might be something to think about, after doing some price hunting.
