should i get 17" or 18" rims?
would 18" rims fit on my car or do you think that would be too big? I think 17" would be good enough, but i dont' want too much wheel gap....suggestions?

17" will do just fine, just make sure you get the proper tire size to fill out the fender. 18" on an accord is getting kinda big, and with you talking about buying cheap rims, it will be easier to crack the 18" because of the lower sidewall of the tire...

17" is big enough man. listen to me cause i have damn 17's on it and the ride can become quite harsh at times.

ok, if i got 17" rims, would i need a camber kit or just an alignment or what would i need? Also, is the ride just rougher because you are riding on less rubber? And do larger rims take away from your overall power? (ex. harder to get movin)

Yes it is going to be rougher, because the sidewall is shorter and thus doesn't flex (absorb bumps) as much, but will also handle better. It depends on the weight of the stock rim+tire combo vs. the new one... also, its much harder to move weight on the outside of the rim (towards tire) than on the inside (towards centercap)...

bah, i don't know what to do about my car...it has ALOT of kms but the engine is running strong and i got the paint job and i can't afford a newer car anytime soon. I'm just not sure whether to keep it for awhile and put money into it, or just keep it and not spend any money on it except for maintenece. OR, i could sell it and buy a piece of crap vehicle and try to save up for something. GRRR

Keep it, put some nice, simple rims/tires and just do the maintenance on it until you can afford a better car. Must easier than making payments every month......

17's will DEFINATELY slow your car down...
and although the wider/stickier tires will help handleing the last thing you want is MORE unsprung AND rotating mass... it will NOT benifit handling at all... big wheels are for LOOKS and LOOKS only... the only excuse for big wheels is big brakes.... and even then it's generally over-kill in the brake dept. Save money get 16's (I have 15's but they might not look right on an accord (what year?)).. a 16" wheel/tire combo will be WAY cheaper then a 17" one.

ya, i sorta just thought it was mainly for looks. I have 15" rims right now. They aren't stock but they are lame. I would like bigger but it just seems like 16" rims wouldn't be a whole lot of difference from my 15". So right away 17" rims come to mind and i THINK that's what i want. I would love to be able to have a set of 16" rims on one side of my car AND the same set of 17" rims on the other side of it. that would be way easier to judge what it looks like...Grrrr....this sucks.

Go with 17s (like everyone else is saying). They're lighter and cheaper, and when it comes time to put new tires on, you'll thank God that you have 17s.
