the EL is a civic w/ some different parts - chassis is the same
(like 92-95 civics and all del sols, and 'tegs)

The engine would work in the car...but its the same one as the ex i believe...1.7L 127hp

in the last generation lots of parts were interchanged...from just the interior (see honda-tech.com) all the way to direct bolt on front ends (also honda-tech.com). I havent seen this on the newest gen yet
